Douglas W. Gould; CISSP, CAS; is a member of the Advisory Board at the World Institute for Security Enhancement, and is associated with the Bryant Group. As the Institute’s Computer Information Security Officer (CISO) he is an internationally recognized expert in the field of computer security and forensics. Currently, President of Gould Professional Services, Inc., he is an electrical engineer, computer scientist, computer security consultant and computer forensic examiner, with over 28 years experience in computer and security professions. His experience includes management of Lucent Technologies’ Information Security Consulting business for the Mid Atlantic region and 14 years as a Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories. Prior to Lucent, he worked for Lockheed Martin where he served as principal security consultant to the US EPA. In this capacity he had overall responsibility for the information security of the Agency’s National Data Processing Center, including the development of incident response capability and incident investigation.

Mr. Gould is a leader in providing security related services to Corporate Clients and Government Agencies. He has served as the principal architect for some of the world’s largest e-commerce enabled businesses, and has led and managed security consulting services for a large Fortune 500 company. He has also held computer and network security responsibility for a U.S. government agency, including serving as the lead forensic investigator. Mr. Gould has published a number of articles on information security and e-commerce, and is a frequent conference speaker. He has been active in computer forensics, supporting local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in the investigation, evidence recovery & analysis, and successful prosecution of computer-related crimes.

He frequently assists law enforcement in investigations and has been called upon by the FBI and Secret Service for his expertise to assist in evidence recovery in major computer crime incidents.

Mr. Gould served on the Board of Directors of the Carolinas Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association, and was the President of the Eastern Carolina, InfraGard. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and has been granted a Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CAS) designation by the Anti-Terrorism Certification Board (ATAB) of the International Society of Anti-Terrorism Professionals.
